The City of Miamisburg is accepting applications for the part-time position of Event & Outreach Coordinator for the Parks and Recreation Department.

The Events & Outreach Coordinator reports to the Event Administrator and plays an integral role in the fulfillment of Miamisburg Parks and Recreation’s mission and vision. The Events & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and supervision of designated programs and events across preschool, youth, teen, adult, and older adult populations. Essential responsibilities also include maintaining partnership programming with Miamisburg City Schools and the Dayton Metro Library.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for this position is $12.00- $21.00 per hour DOQ.

Education & Experience:

  • All candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a recreation, recreation leadership, or program planning and execution.
  • Must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification* within six months of appointment.
  • Possess a valid Ohio driver’s license*.

*Must maintain certifications and licensures as a condition of employment

 

 Additional Qualifications

  • Program planning and execution. 
  • Knowledge of all computer applications and hardware related to performance of the essential functions of the job  
  • Action-oriented, adaptable, and an innovative approach to program/event planning and execution. 
  • Ability to carry out programs and events in an organized, quality, and timely manner. 
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate needs and changes effectively. 
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
